PlotHole Terms of Service

Welcome to PlotHole! We provide a platform for narrative consistency analysis and story management that helps authors, screenwriters, game developers, and RPG designers keep their stories coherent and plot-hole free. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using PlotHole, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to any of the terms, you cannot use PlotHole.

2. Modification of Terms

PlotHole reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any changes through email or prominent notice on our platform.

3. Registration and Account Integrity

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You must provide accurate, complete information and keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. PlotHole is not liable for any loss or damages caused by unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to maintain account security.

4. Use of Service

PlotHole grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our narrative analysis services for your personal or business storytelling needs. You agree not to misuse our services. Prohibited activities include (but are not limited to):

• Breaching or attempting to breach security measures
• Transmitting harmful code, viruses, or malware
• Using the service to process content that violates applicable laws
• Attempting to reverse engineer our AI analysis algorithms
• Using the service to send unsolicited communications
• Sharing your account credentials with unauthorized users

5. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all story content, characters, plots, and creative works that you input into PlotHole. By using our service, you grant PlotHole a limited license to process, analyze, and provide feedback on your content solely for the purpose of delivering our narrative consistency services.

All intellectual property rights in the PlotHole platform, including software, algorithms, trademarks, and service-related content, are owned by PlotHole or its licensors. Your use of the service does not grant you any rights to our intellectual property.

6. Payment Terms

If any part of the service is fee-based, you agree to pay all applicable fees as described in our pricing page. PlotHole reserves the right to change the fee structure with at least 30 days' prior notice. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

7. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information and story content.

8. Data Export and Account Termination

You may export your story data at any time through your account settings. PlotHole may terminate or suspend your access to the service at any time, including if we believe you have violated these terms. Upon termination, you will retain access to export your data for 30 days, after which your account and data may be permanently deleted.

9. Service Availability

While we strive to maintain high service availability, PlotHole does not guarantee uninterrupted access to our services. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience technical difficulties that temporarily affect service availability.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

PlotHole provides the service "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that our AI analysis will catch all plot inconsistencies or that our suggestions will be suitable for your specific creative needs.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlotHole shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or creative work, whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise, even if PlotHole has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PlotHole and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of PlotHole will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
